Street Sports Cultural Center
Our proposal aims to promote a healthy life-style from all points of view, and to provide an aggregation center for all ages, giving the waterfront a new backdrop and improving the urban connection east-west. This is possible by giving the square a new design, inviting visitors to enter the building and then land in the Mujeres Argentinas Park passing through a walkway.
The public square, that leads from the Puente de la Mujer to the building, is enriched with sport courts and skateable seats, for a spontaneous use of the space. It expands under the building in a covered open space, where various rental boxes are located.

The building is meant to be polyfunctional, hosting different activities, all of them dealing with the body and mental wellness. These, developing floor by floor, include sport facilities, for both individual use or group classes, a medical and rehabilitation center, a library/study space and conference hall, kitchen labs and a restaurant that reaches the green rooftop, offering a panoramic view upon the river among rounded greenhouses and relaxing spots. Lastly, as we are regenerating an existing building with a great historical background, a whole part is going to be dedicated to a wheat history museum, retracing its use and different techniques through time and telling the story of this place. Every function has its own entrance, allowing an easy access to each of them, and permitting a simple management of different opening times despite the complexity of the building.
